Bacchetta Giro 26 This is my newest recumbent, fitted with disc brakes. I've already ridden it on my hilly 30 WV work commute. Climbs like a tree frog and goes pretty well on the flat. I'm still making adjustments so it may get even faster. I've since changed jobs so I'm not using it to commute but it's a good errand, club ride and touring bike. In the picture below I had just taken delivery of the bike and wanted to see how well it climbed. The road I climbed up is to the right and is every bit as steep as it looks. Notice I'm still smiliing. I thought it had frame flex when I found it would shimmy, but it appears to be in the wheels. |

2000 Diamondback X2 I found a great deal on this 2000 Diamondback X2 mountain bike. I've always wanted one, especially since I moved to West Virginia and discovered the great hills, woods and trails. |

Terry Minor’s Homebuilt Zox20 replica – 2005 I purchased this homebuilt Zox20 Lowracer from Terry Minor in Portland OR in August 2005. He wasn't comfortable riding something this low in traffic. I just got it put together Saturday August 6 and added the front derailleur. I've done one commute on it . I took it on the bus to downtown Fairmont, then rode the last 10 miles to work. That evening I rode the entire 35 miles home from work. It was a BLAST! This thing climbs like a tree frog, sticks to corners like glue and takes off like a slingshot. I've still got a few things to finish on it like adding a rack and securing the seat foam padding. Actually I would like to get a rigid CF seat when money permits. |

Sun EZ Tandem – 2004 This is the tandem that my wife and I use for couples therapy. We purchased it at the local shop when Sun was having a special. It's great for cruising the local railtrails here in Morgantown (70 miles of them that go along the Monongahela River and into the foothills of the Applachians) We try to get out on it about once a month. |

People-Powered Vehicle (PPV)– 2000 This trike was produced in rather large numbers after the first gas crunch of the 1970's. When I was in high school (1975) a friend and I took one for a test ride at a local used car dealership. During the following years I heard about people restoring them, then one day on my bike commute home a guy along the route offered to sell me his old one. We've ridden it a little bit, I've been wanting to restore it but right now have offered to sell it to a developing bike museum in Bethlehem PA. For more info see this website: |

Current-Model EZ-1 (2002) My wife's late-model EZ-1. We purchased it after she test-rode one at Wheel and Sprocket while we were in Milwaukee on vacation. (This one actually came from Angle Lake in Seattle) It is the first recumbent she's ridden that she really felt comfortable on right away.
